GROUND SCHOOL COURSES
Through out the year, Fergus Falls Flight School offers numerous in-person ground school classes at the Fergus Falls, Minnesota Airport
Accelerated in nature, these courses take place on Saturday and Sunday from 9 am - 4 pm and provide you with the fundamentals necessary to begin working towards you private pilot certificate or additional ratings, as we periodically offer instrument and commercial pilot ground school as well.

What Is The Cost Of the Course?
The Course Fee is $360, Which includes instructors, in addition to lunch, snacks, and course material. Weather permiting, the private pilot course includes a discovery flight in our Piper Cherokee 140, The Instrument course includes a flight in our full-motion Red Bird Simulator

Is there a minimum age to take the class?
There is no Minimum! We often see students take the course beginning at the age of 15, since a student is unable to take their first solo flight until they are age 16

What is the goal of the course?
The goal of our accelerated ground school courses is to cover all of the areas of knowledge necessary to take the FAA written exam. It is expected that individuals taking this course will still need to self-study the materials and take a variety of practice exams before scheduling their tests.
